About Oxjam Manchester Takeover 2009
Oxjam Manchester Takeover 2009, our huge Northern Quarter festival on Sunday the 25th of October. Expect an eclectic array of cultural affairs – from live music, art performances, dance and poetry readings to comedy and exhibitions. Spanning eight venues the festival is part of a huge national event with over 25 cities putting on their own Oxjam festivals- all with their unique spin, over the same weekend.
Oxjam is set to raise thousands of pounds towards Oxfam’s work, using the power of music to reach out to the masses. All the bands, all the staff have given up their time for free- because we feel that Oxjam is important enough to make it all worthwhile!! The Manchester team was spoilt for choice when putting together our festival. Check out the OXJAM MANCHESTER site to find out the amazing people and places that make up the Oxjam Manchester Takeover. I hope you agree we have something for everyone!
