However, last friday I was speed dating with a mission, a remit… Myself and my good friend Miriam were to meet all the speed daters, but only to talk about Climate Change, and more specifically, Oxfam’s Here & Now campaign. The idea had hit us after the success of our last speed dating event. What campaigners wouldn’t give an arm and a leg for three minutes one-on-one with their target audience? We had exactly that opportunity last week at Rain Bar.

I think it went pretty well. The ladies certainly weren’t averse to talking about climate change. There was definitely a lot of interest in ‘the Wave’ march down in London in December. And I was asked quite a few times ’so what can I do?’
